Children's Lettering Workshop with Moomin Characters and Förlaget

I really love childre’s creativity! This summer I got to host a workshop together with Moomin Characters and Förlaget at the Children’s Banquet at Stundars in Solf, Finland. Thanks to Posca Pens the kids could add vibrant colors their creations, and what creative letterings they made! Just have a look at these pictures:

I made this template alphabet before the workshop but it was not needed, the children came up with such amazing letterforms themselves!

Thank you so much to the team at Moomin Characters and Förlaget for a great event, to Stundars for such an inspiring and peaceful work space, and to Posca for great quality acrylic markers that brightens up any lettering!

If you want to get a hold of Posca pens you can find them at:
Materialbutiken (Folkungagatan 60, Stockholm) or Adlibris if you live in Finland.

Förlaget is a Swedish speaking publishing company in Finland and they work globally. They publish books from acclaimed authors and toghether with Moomin Characters they publish all Moomin litterature. Maybe you will find your new favourite author and book at Förlaget, have a look at their books!

Below you can see some of the lettering art work I have created with Posca pens (here you can see the letters more close up). I have hosted a couple of workshop to share inspiration to create these kinds of letterforms and I love it! There are som many wonderful possibilities to create with these pens and I recommend you try them out!

Lettering Workshop in pictures

I have had the privilage to have two talented photographers on my workshops this past month and I want to share the pictures they've snapped inbetween drawing letters.

In February Lydia Winters took my workshop in English. She is a great person and a very talented photographer. She has a project called Enjoy the Wander where she takes photos of her days with a Hasselblad501c, an analog classic camera. The pictures have wonderful colours and feel and the execution is really great! Check it out!
